On 23 December Energy Safe Victoria announced the release ofElectrical Safety (General) Regulations 2019. The new requirements are enforceable from 6 December 2019 and reference AS/NZS 5139. For more information, visit theEnergy Safe Victoria website.
These changes mean that installers who are installing batteries in these states will need to refer to AS/NZS 5139:2019 when installing batteries. A copy of the standard can be purchased from theseonline stores.
